As we roll along towards a welcomed Spring season after a harsh winter with record breaking events, I visited a plant nursery the other day and picked out eight four inch pots of tomato plants with the assistance of an attendant. I have always enjoyed eating a good helping of fried juicy green tomatoes. However it is not an item to find on the modern menu. So I decided that I would put my hand to growing a batch of my own in my back yard this year. I tested my yard and thumb with two plants last year. It was a beginning after so long since actually gardening for a crop.
The attendant suggested I plant several varieties because they mature at different times through the summer. That I did not know. This could spread out my enjoyment. Also it was suggested what size and kind would give me a notable yield. So joyfully, I carted my selection of plants to the cashier and carefully placed them in the car and drove on home to began my season of.gardening.
The night before our part of the country had suffered through a late freeze and I noticed the warning had come almost to late for those who tried to overlook the obvious.
Would you know that Monday was a season to began another kind of planting.Tuesday was the first of four Blood Moons we should see in our skies over the next eighteen months. I was awakened with the thought to witness to those hardened unbelievers during this season. “What if some do not believe?” the Bible asked in Isaiah fifty three and one. How would they explain the Blood Moons written four thousand years ago. And again in the book of Acts of The Apostles chapter two and verses nineteen through twenty one, it is quoted by the apostle Peter over one thousand years later.
Why not engage in some end time constructive conversation to see where your working companions and your neighbors stand in this supposed to be Christian nation. Some of their answers will probably surprise you. However, the subject is a good way to sharpen your wits about the reality of the times that we live and our need to reach out and touch somebody’s life with our witness for Christ. It is the wisdom of the Prophet Daniel who left us with the verses in Scripture that relate to a glorious completing age when he wrote, “And those that will be wise will shine as the brightness of the firmament and those that bring many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.” (Dan.12:3)
what joy we would bring to the Father’s heart and the Holy angels that to see the body of Christ on earth planting seeds of the Word in fallow ground foe a great harvest of the Holy Spirit during this season. RESURRECTION DAY just past but the fields are ripe for HARVEST. My hope and prayer is for each day I will plant in the heart of workers, neighbors and travelers everywhere I am words that will turn them to the will of “Our Father.” And that there be a multitude of new life rushing to the promises of the New Birth and to dine with our Lord as he knocks on the doors of new and old hearts.
